Wacom 2nd Anime/Manga Contest :: My First Love

Here's a good news for all the anime and manga lover. Enter the Wacom 2nd Anime/Manga Contest and win some exclusive prizes.



It's that time of the year again when school kids in Japan return to school beneath the showers of cherry blossom petals, and hearts on envelopes containing love confessions to their future sweethearts (a few heartbreakers too...but we're optimistists here at Wacom). We'd like to invite you to illustrate your own anime/manga scene of your first love for the 2nd Wacom Anime/Manga Contest on the Wacom Community. Good luck!!

Rules: All submissions must abide by the contest and submission rules of the Wacom Community. In particular, submissions may not contain any nudity, adult situations, violence or other obscenities, and must be original. Submissions of fan art or other copyrighted images or characters will not be considered. Wacom reserves the right to reject, remove, and/or disqualify entries at its discretion.

Eligibility: All residents of Wacom Asia Pacific countries (does not include China, Hong Kong or Japan). Limited to one entry per person. No entry fee necessary.

Submission Deadline: May 31, 2008 (Contest officially ends at midnight, Tokyo time. Please be aware of time differences when submitting.)

Entry guidelines: JPG, GIF, PNG format, 72dpi / Max 1MB

Grand Prize: Intuos3 9x12 or 6x11
Most Romantic Moment Award: Intuos3 4x6
Kawaii (Cute) Award: Bamboo Fun medium white
Prizes will be judged on originality and artistic merit by Wacom.

Lately Yohoo! Web Hosting have come up this package. USD $11.95 monthly for UNLIMITED disk space. UNLIMITED data transfer. UNLIMITED email storage. FREE domain. With this kind of features, i think we can set-up our own Royalty Free stock download site:)



Set up a website is not so diffecult, they (Yahoo) even provide you the web site design tools. So how much you plan to sell per-image? USD $300? USD $100? or USD $1? Is all up to you.
Or we can follow something like Freerange.com. They're giving away images for FREE, but they make money from Google Adsense. But if we submit our images to them, we only get 80% of the Adsense income.

Master of Illustration :: Hiroshi Yoshii

Mr. Hiroshi Yoshii吉井 宏 is one of the most acclaimed digital artists in Japan. He is a pioneer in the use of Corel Painter to make digital images in the Japanese illustration world. He freelanced as an illustrator and created various characters for major TV programs, commercials, corporate websites, campaign and events. Yoshii specializes in crystallizing characters for his clients’ needs with little direction. “My three dimensional characters are created by a harmonious combination of beauty, ludicrousness, and comicality.
